Community, Wellness, & Sacred Spaces

Designing places that support collective well-being.

Our work in community planning, landscape design, and wellness-focused environments is rooted in the belief that architecture carries responsibility beyond the individual user.

Through projects such as community master plans, religious campuses, nonprofit developments, and wellness-oriented spaces, we have contributed to environments intended to support healing, connection, ritual, and long-term care. These projects required listening deeply, balancing multiple stakeholders, and translating values into physical form.

Whether designing at the scale of a campus or the interior of a wellness space, NOVEL’s focus remains consistent: creating environments that feel grounded, intuitive, and supportive to the people they serve.

Much of this work was developed within collaborative environments, where we contributed to planning studies, landscape coordination, spatial layouts, and documentation. Working across disciplines taught us how to think holistically about circulation, sequencing, outdoor space, and long-term growth.

This foundation now informs the projects we actively seek in our practice.

We are interested in collaborating on projects that:

  • Serve a collective or community purpose

  • Integrate wellness into the core design approach

  • Balance architecture, landscape, and interior experience

  • Value atmosphere, ritual, and long-term impact over trends

If your project is meant to support healing, gathering, reflection, or care, it is likely a good fit.
